On Saturday, the morning Cycle Race will start at 09.30 and the afternoon Race at 13.30.  The Races will go up Rhodyate, turn Left on to B3134, then Right at crossroads onto B3371 (towards Yoxter), then continue to the T-Junction with B3135 at the top of Cheddar Gorge.  The Races turn sharp Left (towards Wells) and continue to the crossroads of B3135/B3134 then a very sharp Left turn on to B3134 (towards Castle of Comfort) then to the crossroads of B3134/B3371 where they turn Left, from here the route repeats this loop a number of times.  The Races finish on the B3371 before the Yoxter Army Training Camp.

Expected finish times are: Morning race – 12.30 and Afternoon race – 16.30.

On Sunday, the morning Cycle Race will start at 09.30 and the afternoon Race at 13.30.  The Races will go up Rhodyate, turn Left onto B3134, then Right at crossroads onto B3371 (towards Yoxter), then continue to the T-Junction with B3135 at the top of Cheddar Gorge.  The Races turn sharp Left (towards Wells) and continue across the crossroads of B3135/B3134.  Then they turn Left at Red Quar onto Torhole Bottom and then Left onto A39, then Left onto B3114/Lower Street, then turn Left onto A368, then Left into The Street at Blagdon, then up Rhodyate, this loop is then repeated as far as turn on to A368. This time the Races turn Left onto Harptree Hill, then on to Old Bristol Road then turn (second) Left onto B3134, continues on B3134 to the crossroads of B3135/B3134 and the Race turns Left and repeats this loop for three more times.  The Rraces finish on Harptree Hill.

Expected finish times are: Morning race – 13.00 and Afternoon race – 17.30.

At each major junction there will be traffic control by Accredited Marshals using “lollipops” (like on a school crossing patrol).  These Marshals are legally* permitted to stop traffic for a few minutes to allow the race to pass through safely, then each junction will be re-opened.  These closures will be kept to a minimum.
